Duncan has more than 30 years of legal, financial and investment experience in international markets.

He is well-known to both the corporate and private equity communities as both trusted entrepreneurial adviser and an investor, and has advised on and invested in deals ranging from large cross border acquisitions to smaller transactions.

In 2012 he established Marbury Investments to manage co-investment and private investment opportunities, and Marbury Corporate Advisory Services to provide corporate services, fund and enterprise solutions.

Duncan acts as a director and sits on investment committees to several asset management firms and trading businesses.

Chris has over 25 years’ international experience in operations, compliance, and project management, with a proven track record in communication, employee development, workflow optimisation, and strategic delivery.

As Managing Director of Marbury, she oversees operations across multiple jurisdictions, leading teams in client onboarding, compliance, HR, finance, IT, and corporate governance. Since joining in 2016, Chris has steered the firm through integration post acquisition, launched new service lines including Fund Services, and implemented systems that strengthened efficiency, risk management, and client retention. She has also acted as interim CEO, guiding the organisation through periods of political and market uncertainty while maintaining revenue and staff engagement. Under her leadership, Marbury achieved ISAE 3402 accreditation for Fund Services, reinforcing its institutional grade standards and credibility.

Previously, Chris was Head of Operations at a regulatory and compliance consultancy in Asia Pacific, where she streamlined marketing, product development, and data integrity initiatives. Earlier, she held senior roles with global corporate services providers, leading client acceptance, compliance, and relationship management across Hong Kong, China, and offshore jurisdictions.

A native Canadian, Chris lived in Beijing before relocating to Hong Kong in 2009, and continues to combine international perspective with hands-on leadership to deliver institutional-grade service with boutique responsiveness.

Allie Braithwaite

Associate Director, Head of Fund Services and Commercial

Allie joined Marbury in 2018 and is Associate Director, Head of Fund Services and Commercial. She provides strategic leadership across the firm’s fund and corporate services operations and commercial functions, with responsibility for business strategy, growth, client onboarding and relationship management, and service delivery.

Having managed the operational fund services team, Allie led the design and implementation of Marbury’s Fund Services workflows of the highest standards, which were instrumental in securing the firm’s Fund Services ISAE 3402 accreditation, underscoring Marbury’s commitment to operational integrity and control.

She has extensive expertise in private equity fund advisory, structuring and administration, and also drives business development initiatives, working closely with clients and stakeholders to expand Marbury’s services offering and enhance commercial opportunities.

A proud South African, Allie has called Hong Kong home since 2014. She holds an Honours degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch. She has also passed the CFA Level I examination.

Celeste Scholtz

Associate Director, Head of Regulatory

Celeste joined Marbury in 2018 and is Associate Director and Head of Regulatory at Marbury Corporate Advisory Services Limited. Based in Hong Kong, she leads the firm’s compliance function and is responsible for regulatory strategy and implementation across a diverse client base.

A Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS), Celeste advises on AML/CFT, CRS and FATCA compliance, and acts as Marbury’s designated Anti-Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Deputy MLRO where applicable. She also serves as Principal Point of Contact (PPOC) for the Cayman Islands Tax Information Authority. Celeste delivers AML training both internally and to clients, ensuring best practice and regulatory awareness across the business.

Since joining Marbury, Celeste has overseen regulatory inspections by authorities including CIMA and the BVI FSC, led the rollout of Economic Substance client reporting across various jurisdictions, and developed the firm’s core compliance framework and policies. She has also managed large-scale client integrations during corporate acquisitions and guides investor onboarding for private equity funds.

Celeste has lived in Hong Kong since 2017 and is a proud South African. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Stellenbosch.
